Facebook comes alive when you add custom apps to your Page.
Competitions, video and other rich content increases engagement and provides funky ways to deliver key marketing messages to new and existing audiences.
Combined with ‘featured posts’ (or one of the easy and accessibly priced Facebook advertising tools) you’re all set to take custom content to large markets at low cost.
Did I say low cost? Well it would be if the ‘custom’ part of the equation wasn’t so expensive for SMEs and small business.
Historically customer apps meant working with coders to develop mini websites.
And we all know you’re often talking costly hourly rates, challenging relationships and open ended development times and spend.
We think up until recently it wasn’t possible to deliver a custom app experience (even a fairly basic one) for less than £1,500.
And for short campaigns that puts custom apps out of the reach of most SME marketing budgets.
Enter iFrapp.
There are lots of tools out there of a similar ilk. But we’re yet to discover one with this level of flexibility, price accessibility and user interface (UI) simplicity.
We tested it yesterday for a small client. (Link available temporarily)
And three hours later they were running a bespoke competition, collecting data and delivering key marketing messages to tens of thousands of connected and new Facebook users.
It was literally that easy.
Yes, there are limitations, such as feeding in live data. But it is a solid solution for a great many of the standard things Facebook page managers would like to do.
Costs totalled less than £250.
This included our time, the cost of the app (£10 p/m), and the promotional advert (£20) to push it out to friends and friends of friends.
As you can see, in this cost it’s mostly our time the client pays for. But SMEs can easily run these without any help from an agency like ours.
Forgo some of the frills and graphics and undergo a bit of learning, and you’re away.
Of course, when you need help, we’re here.
